hohoho! From the 41st Millennium

First of all allow me to say sorry for not posting anything in weeks! However, let me explain myself. Since my last post I have started work for Games Workshop as a Trainee Manager, and with that I spend alot of my time doing games workshop type things. So the stuff I used to do for fun, in my spare time, and as a hobby, has become part of my very being in that I do it for a living! So, what does this mean? It means that I PLAY WITH TOY SOLDIERS FOR A LIVING. coolest, job, EVER!

So I guess those that read/follow my posts might be a bit lost as to what I’ve been doing. Last time I posted anything hobby related it was of a weak colour scheme on a Chaos Marine. You’ll be happy to know that they are currently being tweaked to look awesome.

In the mean time, here’s my WIP of Space Santa, Santa Marine…what ever you want to call him. Here he is…

Happy days. I’m currently spending my final day in Highbridge with my awesome bestie Carrie-Anne, just finished an all day breakfast at Mr. Beans, (we won a free meal for 2 in a raffle) and looking forward to Friday, my induction at Games Workshop HQ, and of course, getting to go to warhammer world for the first time!! I am actually really excited, this is the first job I’ve actually wanted, and the one job that is actually decent, instead of your usual entry level rubbish.

I think games workshop made a mistake though, anyone the knows me probably knows I couldn’t manage a piss up in a brewery….
….
….that’s actually a lie…I could manage that pretty easily…

Anyway, back on track. So today I’ll be back on the train, flying through Bristol temple meads, and on towards Cheltenham! Tomorrow I’m going into games workshop Cheltenham to spend the day painting, gaming, chatting, and just for a change, munching down a subway. Happy days ahead indeed!

For now, ta-ra!

So, turns out, after applying, a 15 minute telephone interview, an hour face to face interview with a set of very important people, battling it out with many other contenders, I, Adam Cooper, have “Become Legendary”.

I have got the trainee managers job at GW Worcester! Hell yeah!

A short post it may be, but it’s still freakin’ sweet!

Turns out the first picture didn’t do it any justice, so here is another, I’m doubting if I should bother taking any more pictures on the iPhone….

So here he is. An aspiring champion, kitted out with a power fist, a plasma pistol, a set of sweet horns and a lovely base. This is number 1 complete, or, for all other purposes, reference 0,0,0,0. It all begins with this dude, and your opinions! Tell me what you think of this steel brethren paint scheme. I know it’s a bit bland but I’m hoping my basing skills with bring the model to life and give it a breath of fresh air!

Let me introduce Harry. Harry is a budgie, and a pain in the arse at that. There is nothing this bird won’t do to irritate me. He’ll nibble at my earrings, climb up the back of my head, he’ll poop on you if you’re not careful and my god, he just won’t get off my phone. Even as I post this from my iPhone, he’s there, sat on top of it….luckily, he looks pretty funny when I shower him. That little ball of feathers….. (Taken with instagram)
